Cadence Café

Cadence Café sits at 990 Saint-Urbain in Chinatown, next door to its sibling spots Fleurs & Cadeaux and Sans Soleil. The concept is Japanese-inspired: coffee and tea alongside house-made pastries that lean on Japanese forms, among them anpan with azuki paste and sesame, shiopan aux oeufs with house dijonnaise and chives, flan caramel with amazake cream and vanilla, and a strawberry roll cake. On the drinks side, espresso standards share the menu with a matcha latte using Hokusan ceremony-grade matcha, hojicha latte with kurumitsu (Okinawan black sugar syrup), genmaicha, gyokuro, and yuzu. Oat, macadamia, and soy milks available.
