About

30 Juin takes its name from June 30, 1960, the date Patrice Lumumba proclaimed Congolese independence. Chef Awoo runs a menu grounded in Congolese cooking, with some pan-African range: grilled goat, half-chicken in mayo sauce (poulet mayo), tilapia, turkey with plantains, makayabu (salted fish), pondu (cassava leaves), fumbwa (vegetables with peanut butter), kwanga (manioc stick), alloco, and attiéké. There's a full bar with cocktails and sangria.
