Roussette Café et Dînette

Roussette Café is a neighbourhood café from the team behind Théâtre Sainte-Catherine, serving coffee, sandwiches, and house-made baked goods (see: many, many donuts) on Ontario Street East. The café takes its name from the roussette, a traditional Quebec doughnut that’s made fresh each morning and anchors the menu alongside pastries, viennoiseries, breakfast sandwiches, soups, and focaccia sandwiches. Bread is baked on site daily, giving the kitchen a foundation for a menu built around fresh, simple fare. The space also doubles as a café-épicerie with a small selection of grocery items, making it as much a stop for everyday provisions as it is for a morning coffee or quick lunch.
