The Most Predictable Oscars in Years Were Still Pretty Damn Good

As far back as I can remember, I’ve always watched the Oscars. For movie lovers, it’s our Super Bowl, and missing it isn’t an option. I once streamed the ceremony on my phone at a baptism just to keep up. That’s the level of commitment we’re talking about.

I usually enjoy the ceremony from the comfort of my couch, but this year at Cinema Du Parc's annual screening of the awards, and it was a total blast to be in a packed room of over 200 movie lovers. The 98th Academy Awards took place with two-time host Conan O’Brien brought his antics and charm to the job, and the night included a Bridesmaids reunion, a tear-jerking in memoriam for Robert Redford, Diane Keaton, Rob Reiner, and more led by Billy Crystal and Barbra Streisand, and electric live performances by the cast and musicians of Sinners and KPop Demon Hunters.
