We made it through a polar vortex, Montreal. WE MADE IT.
The cold in this town can be bitter and daunting, no doubt, but that's a shared experience that only binds us together. There are so many amazing locals that have stepped up to help those in need (that you should in turn support!), and while the snow removal's ongoing (and going and going because a quarter of our gear is busted), we can start to feel just a little triumphant.
The recent weather reminds us of similarly cold night out on Saint-Laurent, where the institutional nightclub Rouge will be saying so long after more than two decades in the business. Whether or not a spot like that was your scene, you can't deny that lasting that long in the city takes a lot of moxy. That earns respect, and it will be missed.
