Fromagerie qui lait cru!?!

Despite what the name might suggest, this Jean-Talon Market fromagerie isn't exclusively about raw milk cheese—the pun is also an invitation to be surprised. With over 350 varieties in stock, roughly 65% of them from Quebec, it's one of the most comprehensive cheese counters in the city. The Quebec selection runs deep, from aged Hercule de Charlevoix to Tomme du Kamouraska, while the European imports cover the classics: Brie de Meaux, 30-month Parmigiano Reggiano, cave-aged Gruyère, Comté. Current owner Daniel Allard brings over 35 years of experience in the cheese world, and manager Annie adds another 20 on the floor. Organic, lactose-free and lower-fat options are available, alongside a selection of dairy products from trusted local producers.
