Bar Sportivo

Café Sportivo has anchored Little Italy's stretch of Saint-Laurent since 1967, built around the neighbourhood's twin passions for hockey and soccer. Under new ownership since 2024, one of the co-owners brings a naturopath's perspective to the place, an unusual pairing that shows up in the addition of non-alcoholic beers and a sharper focus on quality coffee alongside the comfort food menu. The big screens and the crowd remain: every major NHL game, soccer match, and football broadcast draws the kind of multi-generational room that only a decades-old local institution can assemble. A summer terrace opens up the corner when the season allows. The soul of the old café is intact; the vision is just a little wider than it used to be.
