Cinema Politica Concordia

Every Monday night during the school year, a small room on Concordia’s Sir George Williams Campus turns into the site of a global documentary network. Founded in 2004, Cinema Politica is a Concordia University-based non-profit network showing Canadian and international independent political film and video. With each screening, the organization, run locally by a Concordia student association, seeks to unite political independent filmmaking, local activism, and civic education and engagement. Each semester follows a thematic series covering topics like social justice, the environment, and cultural identity, with screenings running during the school year only.
