Venice MTL brings a California beach-town sensibility to Saint-François-Xavier Street in Old Montreal, where it has operated since 2016. The room leans into the reference: plants, wood, natural light, and enough blue to suggest somewhere warmer. The menu covers a lot of ground, moving from poke bowls and açaí bowls to tacos, flatbread pizzas, burgers, and salads, with gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options woven throughout. The poke selection is particularly extensive, running from shoyu tuna and miso yuzu salmon to a lemongrass shrimp bowl and a General Tao chicken version. Weekend brunch adds avocado toast, breakfast burritos, and ricotta toast to the mix. A compact cocktail list, wine, and cold-pressed juices round out the drinks side.
