"Café Novanta isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel—it just wants to make sure it spins the right way. Run by brothers Marco and Rocco Mega, this Italian coffee bar and paninoteca on Jarry Street keeps things simple: great coffee, honest food, and a setting where regulars feel like locals and newcomers are greeted like old friends. The name, Novanta (Italian for ninety), comes from the address—and a not-so-serious nod to how many more years Marco jokes he’ll be working.
The menu reflects that same balance of ease and care: arancini, cannoli, Mediterranean salads, and pizzas made with whole-grain dough that rises for hours before being topped—meticulously—by hand. Everything is done with intention, from the ingredients sourced from Italy to the in-house pastries. Their americano has earned a loyal following, but Marco’s go-to is a classic macchiato, enjoyed at any hour. Novanta is less about trends and more about doing things right, every single day."
