Estudio Niksen

At Estudio Niksen, the retail floor doubles as a working studio, with design, marketing, and order fulfilment visible behind glass partitions. Founded in 2021 by Andrés Barrios and Gabrielle Gagné, the St-Henri space reflects the brand’s evolution from curated imports to in-house production, focused on garments meant to be worn across seasons rather than replaced.

The offering sits between fast fashion and luxury, with an emphasis on durable materials, neutral palettes, and silhouettes influenced by Japanese and Korean design. Alongside clothing, the shop includes a growing range of homeware and artist collaborations that extend the brand’s visual language beyond the wardrobe.

Named after the Dutch concept of “niksen,” or purposeful idleness, the space incorporates slower, more deliberate rhythms into both the retail experience and the way collections are developed.
