Supermarché PA

This is where Supermarché PA all started: With a simple premise and a bit of guesswork. In 1989, brothers Sam and Taso Erimos—one a fishmonger, the other a cable technician—bought a small corner grocery at Parc and Saint-Joseph without much experience, figuring things out by listening to what customers kept asking for. At first, it served Mile End’s Greek community; over time, the shelves expanded to reflect whoever was walking through the door next.

Today, PA has grown into a small network of stores across Montreal and beyond, but the core approach hasn’t shifted much. The focus stays on fresh produce, fish, deli, and imports, with an emphasis on local suppliers and products that don’t always make it into larger chains. Prices move quickly, inventory changes often, and the relationship between staff and regulars still feels direct. It’s scaled up, but it hasn’t really let go of its corner-store logic.
