Ta Chido

Ta Chido is a neighbourhood snack bar opened in 2011 by the Franco family, taking its cues from Mexico City’s botaneras—places where food, drinks, and music blur into one long sit. Tortas are the backbone here, built on telera bread made in-house and loaded with black beans, avocado, caramelized onions, and fillings like achiote pork, mole-soaked chicken, or braised pork in pumpkin-seed salsa verde. The taco menu runs deeper than expected, touching mole, al pastor, and vegetarian staples, while mezcal-forward cocktails quietly steal the show.
