Founded in 2009 by longtime friends Anne-Marie and Catherine, atelier b has grown from a small apartment workshop into one of Montreal’s most thoughtful examples of slow fashion. Every piece they create — minimalist, timeless, and made to last — is designed and produced locally from natural fibres, with a clear commitment to sustainability and transparency at every step.
Working from their Mile End studio-boutique, the duo has turned their space into a true research lab for responsible design. Their zero-waste production model, textile recycling program, and repair service make atelier b the first Canadian clothing brand to achieve circular manufacturing. The result is clothing that feels intentional: garments rooted in craft and conscience, stitched with quiet confidence.
