APART Studio occupies a fourth-floor suite on the lower Main, above the street rather than on it. MJ Deziel opened it in 2019 and built the bench around range: stylists, colourists, a barber and apprentices, each with listed specialties running from coily cuts to colour correction to updos, and a booking page that sorts them by what they actually like doing. All textures are handled, fine through 4C, with separate cut categories for curly and coily hair. Gender-affirming cuts are a stated specialty, and cuts are priced by length and texture rather than gender. Colour covers single-process, highlights, balayage, full bleach and creative work, with perms, keratin and hair botox alongside. The salon works with Evo and K18 and says it recycles up to 95 per cent of its waste.
