Situated inside the former Montreal Forum, once home to the Canadiens, Cineplex Forum & VIP is one of the city’s biggest multiplexes. Opened in 2001 as part of the AMC chain before being acquired by Cineplex, the theatre mixes standard auditoriums with an IMAX screen and a dedicated VIP wing offering recliners, in-theatre food and drink service, and an 18+ policy that includes tacos-and-tequila specials on Tuesdays. As with the chain, screens tend to play mainstream hits and commercial releases over festival fare or repertory picks.
