Donato Gelato gives Victoria Avenue in Westmount a proper gelateria, with everything made in-house and a flavour list that signals its seriousness: Brontë pistachios from Sicily, gianduia, fior di latte amarena laced with wild cherries, ricotta cinnamon, and a Tahitian vanilla worth ordering on its own. Sorbets cover the fruit side with mango, lemon, and raspberry. The move here is the brioche bun stuffed with two scoops, Sicilian breakfast style, ideally alongside an affogato.
