Café Campus

About

Café Campus has been part of Montréal’s nightlife vocabulary since 1967, long before Prince-Arthur became a pedestrian hangout and long after the student protests that helped shape its identity. What began as a university-run gathering space quickly morphed into a hub for music, comedy, politics, and whatever cultural moment was bubbling up on campus. Today, it operates as a workers’ co-op with two rooms under one roof: Petit Campus for live shows and the larger upstairs venue for themed dance nights that have become rites of passage for generations of students. The crowds change, the décor evolves, but the spirit stays the same—a democratic, slightly chaotic, deeply Montréal institution built by the people who run it.
