Parc Arthur-Therrien

Bordered by the St. Lawrence River and sitting between the Verdun Auditorium and École secondaire Monseigneur-Richard, Parc Arthur-Therrien is one of the borough's most generously equipped green spaces. The sports infrastructure alone covers most bases: three baseball diamonds and a stadium, six synthetic-surface tennis courts, a football field, a basketball court, and a well-regarded concrete skatepark open to skateboards, BMX, scooters, and aggressive skates. Families get a dedicated toddler play area, a splash pad, a wading pool, and a full outdoor municipal pool in summer. The bike path running through the park connects to the broader St. Lawrence waterfront trail, and a dog park, ping pong tables, picnic areas, and lawn bowling round out the offerings. Come winter, the hill serves for tubing and the trails convert to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, with free equipment loans from the park chalet.
