Bêden Càphê

Bêden Càphê sits comfortably in that new wave of Vietnamese-inspired cafés that aren’t interested in playing it safe—but also aren’t careless with tradition. The bánh mì is the tell: crackly bread, quality cold cuts, fresh herbs, and a house-made pâté that leans refined rather than old-school heavy. It’s balanced, deliberate, and unmistakably Vietnamese, right down to the use of fresh chili instead of shortcut sauces.

Elsewhere, the menu loosens up. A char siu bao burger pulls East and West into the same bite without collapsing into novelty, and the patê sô keeps things grounded with proper flake and peppery depth. Finish with a cà phê trứng made the right way—robusta coffee, rich condensed milk, custard-like foam—and the point becomes clear. Bêden isn’t confused by fusion; it’s confident enough to know when to honour fundamentals and when to stretch.
