Photo of Cassis Monna & Filles, a Farm

Cassis Monna & Filles is a family-run farm on Île d’Orléans that’s steeped in history and craftsmanship. Since 1992, the Monna family has been cultivating black currants and transforming them into award-winning Crème de Cassis, liqueurs, and gourmet products. This fifth-generation team, led by sisters Catherine and Anne, honours that legacy dating back to 1872 in southern France, while pushing the boundaries of creativity and sustainability.

Visitors can explore the onsite ‘économusée’, offering insights into black currant farming and processing, before sampling the fruits of the harvest in the boutique or wine cellar. The terrace, overlooking the St. Lawrence River, is perfect for savouring bold cocktails, fresh farm-to-table meals, and indulgent black currant ice cream. Recognized internationally for their exceptional products, Cassis Monna & Filles is an essential stop for food and drink enthusiasts visiting Quebec.
