Iconoglace (Mile End)

Iconoglace’s second location on Laurier West brings its cult-favourite ice cream to Mile End without missing a beat—or a swirl. Housed in a bright, revamped space just off Clark, the new outpost builds on the success of the original Bélanger shop with the same playful creativity and artisanal commitment. Everything here is made in-house, from the soft-serve and slushies to the hand-rolled cones and rotating sundae specials.
Founder Anabelle Berkani, a former film industry pro turned dairy visionary, draws inspiration from global creamery culture but keeps the flavours rooted in seasonal local ingredients. Expect combos like guava-vanilla soft serve or sundaes stacked with house-baked pistachio cake and rhubarb compote. A kids’ corner caters to local families, while a back terrasse offers a low-key hangout spot in warmer months. Even with a bigger kitchen and higher demand, Berkani’s mission hasn’t changed: make damn good ice cream, and don’t lose the plot.
