Lièvre Rouge

North of Tremblant, where the Laurentides get wilder and quieter, Refuge du Lièvre Rouge occupies 275 acres of mixed forest around Lac Saguay. The property runs six off-grid micro-chalets and a yourte, each accessible only on foot, each built around the same premise: no electricity, no running water, no noise. Solar panels, wood stoves, and propane handle the basics. The Sous-Bois café-buvette brings an unlikely sophistication to the whole operation, with specialty coffee in the morning and well-made cocktails by evening. A private spa rounds things out. Open year-round, dogs welcome.
