Quincaillerie Azores

Azores Hardware has been part of Saint-Laurent Boulevard since 1968, when carpenter Gabriel Pereira traded his tools for a 500-square-foot storefront. From a rented space and a Volkswagen Beetle-turned-delivery-van, Pereira built a shop that kept pace with the neighbourhood’s needs, eventually securing the corner building at 4299 Saint-Laurent in 1979. His wife Maria Eduarda and later their sons Gaby, Paulo, and Kevin carried on the business, guided by his insistence that customers be treated like family. Through shifts from Uni-Total to PRO and finally Home Hardware, the store has held onto its independence while expanding its reach. Today, Azores remains rooted in the values Pereira passed down—trust, resourcefulness, and the sense that a hardware store is as much about people as it is about parts.
