Tamisé Sushi

Tamisé brings something rare to Hochelaga: a sushi spot that’s warm, refined, and deeply rooted in the neighbourhood. It’s a kind of spiritual successor to Sata Sushi, but with a tone all its own. Co-founder and designer Tania Morrison, known for her work on Ratafia and Motel Ontario, takes a hands-on approach—literally, often behind the torch finishing off signature makis. The menu revisits old hits like flambéed scallops and tofu, folds in vegan options, and plays with small luxuries like Quebec-made garlic soy sauce or granite stone plating from Matière Bussière. There’s a tight list of natural wines and sakés, Apéro à Zéro mocktails, and the kind of service that makes it hard not to linger.
