Théâtre Sainte-Catherine

Théâtre Sainte-Catherine has been running on creative energy and community spirit since 2009, when Mark Louch, Alain Mercieca, and Sandi Armstrong founded Le Nouveau International to give Montreal's independent arts scene a proper home.
The programming reflects that founding spirit: theatre, live music, film screenings, comedy, cabaret nights, and festival shows for JFL/Zoofest, with room for over 100 people most nights of the week. The venue is also the longtime home of Sunday Night Improv, the oldest English-language improv show in the city, alongside its French counterpart Les Lundis and the beloved Montreal Sketchfest.
Between sets, the cafe-bar keeps things going with pastries, snacks, and drinks. Welcoming to emerging artists and independent producers, it takes the idea of accessible and living art seriously.
