Bains Ninkasi

Opened in December 2025 near Place-des-Arts metro, Bains Ninkasi imports a Central European beer-spa tradition and adapts it to Montreal with surprising restraint. Named after the Sumerian goddess of beer and social ritual, guests soak in oak tubs infused with hops, malt, brewer’s yeast, and herbs—byproducts sourced locally—while pouring themselves a steady stream of Kölsch-style beer from Dieu du Ciel!.
The circuit moves from a hop-scented sauna to a long bath, then into a recovery phase on straw beds or loungers, with no pressure to meditate or whisper. Founder Estéban Dravet frames the experience less as wellness dogma than sanctioned downtime: you’re warm, mildly buzzed, and off the clock.
