Van Horne Skatepark

Under the Van Horne overpass, Montreal finally got the skatepark it deserved. Opened in 2019 in response to a long-standing shortage of youth spaces in central neighbourhoods, the park was designed with real skaters in the room.
The street course runs on clean parallel lines that make collisions almost impossible and flow almost inevitable. Rails, ledges, manual pads, hubbas, banks: the obstacles hit every note without overwhelming. Then there's the bowl section, a genuine rarity in Quebec, complete with a snake run connecting its sections so you never lose momentum.
The whole thing sits in the shadow of the Van Horne warehouse, a legacy building that gives the park a distinctly Montreal kind of industrial cool.
