We’re throwing a block party—and you’re invited
We’re gathering the collaborators, characters, and readers who built this with us for our first-ever block party.

After 135 issues of The Bulletin, hundreds of stories, and more DMs from readers about where to go and what to eat than we can count, we figured it was time:
The Main is throwing its first-ever block party.
And if you’re reading this, that means you’re on the list.
It’s happening Sunday, July 20, from 12 to 4PM at Bar WILLS—and it’s our way of saying thank you. For following along. For opening our emails. For sharing stories, trusting tips, and showing up for the people and places we spotlight.

We’re bringing together some of our favourite collaborators and characters from the last year and change:
Bar WILLS: Our gracious host

Part microbrewery, part Mile-Ex hangout, Bar WILLS is where good beer meets better design and the vibes are quietly immaculate. Co-founded by Ethan Wills (ex-Lawrence) and housed in the former Brasserie Vieux-Montréal space, WILLS is now brewing its own delicately balanced beers on-site—think hazy IPAs, clean lagers, and rare Hill Farmstead imports.
The terrasse is awesome, the bottle shop stocks the good stuff, and the speakers are always dialled in. It’s the kind of place that could only exist here, and the ideal home base for our first block party.
La Spada: The Saint-Henri osteria

One part ode to Rome, one part neighbourhood institution-in-the-making, La Spada brings experiential dining to Saint-Henri with flair and serious food chops: Co-owned by Steve Marcone (Bistro Amerigo) and Scott Usheroff (@cravingcurator), the osteria channels plush banquettes, white-jacketed staff, and Negronis flowing with a Montreal edge. Think cacio e pepe, grilled lamb chops, and seafood-laced squid ink linguine served with ceremony and soul.
Stay tuned for the menu.
DJ HIDI: The organic soundscaper

A chef, vinyl head, and walking embodiment of the ikigai lifestyle, DJ HIDI blends his passions for food, music, and design into everything he does. The founder of OSMO X Marusan and co-founder of Fleurs & Cadeaux, he brings the same purpose and intuition to the decks as he does to the kitchen.
With influences ranging from Theo Parrish to Pal Joey, his sets move from electronic to organic, shaped by daily life as much as late-night dance floors.
DJ JoJo Flores: Montreal nightlife legend

A Montreal DJ legend and sound system purist, JoJo Flores has spent decades shaping how this city listens. Known for spinning vinyl with intention and building high-fidelity audio setups from restaurants to clubs, Flores preserves culture.
He treats sound as substance, not backdrop: Expect deep grooves, warm frequencies, and a masterclass in vibe.
Let's recap
All told, July 20 will be all about drinks, food, merch, and good people, rain or shine.
We’ll also be joined by a cast of contributors and friends from stories past, present, and future—writers, chefs, artists, designers, DJs, neighbours. The people who make this city what it is.
So come hang. Say hi. Put faces to bylines. Dance a little. Or just post up with a spritz and people-watch.
We’d love to see you there.
