    Three words: What a night.

On October 1, 2026, The Main held its second-ever party to invite anyone and everyone in the city to come together and enjoy a curated night of local DJ HIDI (Hideyuki Imaizumi) at the turntables, Beigne Habitude selling their sweet wares, Elena and Parcelles hosting a wood-fired cookout in the ruelle verte, cracked can with WILLS, swish cocktails from Aupale Vodka, and ciele dropping in with dozens of hungry and thirsty runners, all in the McCord Stewart Museum.

Keyword here is ‘in’: More rain fell than we would’ve liked for an alleyway party, even if the first day of October was running a risk. We had to take the festivities indoors, but that didn’t stop the party from happening: From 5 p.m. onward, Montrealers and fans of the magazine showed up by the hundreds to eat, drink. catch up, embrace, put faces to names, and tell stories.

The food and drink? Excellent. The company? Wouldn’t have missed it for the world. But the magazine? Priceless.

At last, we could put copies of our special edition magazine, The Last Good Weeks, in the hands of readers. This book represents months of writing and photography alongside many all-but-sleepless nights at keyboards and design mockups. In a way, the creative process behind it mimicked exactly what the whole text is about: Making the most of the last of the harvest season, that rapid rush of trying to put together as robust of a full cellar or menu before time runs out.
