Every year, for one night only, Montreal hands itself over to the night with Montréal en Lumière’s keystone event Nuit Blanche. Museums stay open past midnight, churches fill with ambient organ drones, and DJs spin vinyl for 24 hours straight. Nightcrawlers wander into galleries, dance floors, and immersive installations they'd never find on a regular Friday out.
The 23rd edition lands on February 28, 2026, running from dusk until well past dawn. Over 100 activities across 90 partners span the expected (Place des Festivals, the Quartier des Spectacles) and the new (Verdun joins for the first time this year). Most of it is free. The metro is running with extended hours. And if you pace yourself right, you can catch an ambient listening session, a Latin club night, a heritage video mapping, and a post-dawn brunch without ever feeling like you're racing against the clock.
