The Michelin Guide is coming for Quebec's culinary scene.

Announced today, the province is now Canada’s third destination, joining the ranks of Toronto and Vancouver. Here’s what the guide’s international director Gwendal Poullennec said:

“Québec’s culinary scene shines a light on the rich heritage and traditions of the province attracting travelers on the lookout for remarkable and tasty experiences. I look forward to revealing what my famously anonymous Inspectors discover for the inaugural selection.”

If you know, you know, but for those you don’t: The Michelin Guide is among the most recognized awards for worldwide culinary excellence. The first Michelin Guide with a Québec selection is set to be revealed in 2025.

That means Michelin Inspectors are already at work, and you can expect to see restaurants across the province recognized with Michelin Star, Bib Gourmand, and Green Star distinctions soon. Restaurants in Montreal should stay on their toes.
