After more than a decade near the Bell Centre, Empire has found a new home at the corner of Robert-Bourassa and De Maisonneuve—right in the thick of downtown Montreal. The move marks a new chapter for Quebec’s biggest skateboard and snowboard retailer, trading its old digs for a bright, open space built for the next generation of riders. Founded in 1999 in Sainte-Julie by a crew of friends obsessed with board sports, Empire has since grown into a province-wide network supporting both amateur and pro athletes. The new flagship keeps that same energy—stocked with more than 150 brands and anchored in the culture it helped shape. Bigger, sharper, and still grounded in the scene that started it all.
