Pub L'Île Noire

About

Pub L’Île Noire has been part of Montréal’s bar circuit since 1989, the kind of place where whisky drinkers and the merely whisky-curious end up on the same footing. The room leans Scottish in spirit, but the draw is the breadth of its back bar: hundreds of whiskies, a long roster of gins that spans Québec producers and bottles from abroad, plus nearly twenty beers on tap. Regulars come for the staff as much as the selection—they know the shelves well and steer you without pretense. The food keeps to bistro comfort, from grilled cheese to pulled-pork poutine.
