A sibling to El Pacífico next door, Aurora Café brings a warm, unhurried energy to rue Ontario Est in Hochelaga. The brunch menu draws on Latino-Mexican influences: sweet corn pancakes with passionfruit jam and tonka bean cream, a brioche avocado toast with mole and grilled halloumi, a crispy chicken sandwich with spiced agave syrup. Pastries and pan mexicano come from Carlota Boulangerie. Specialty coffee runs all day; kitchen closes at 3 p.m.
