Dumbo Café opened on chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, a few minutes from the Université de Montréal, in a roomy space with green accents throughout. The counter does specialty coffee across the usual range, from cortado to flat white, plus a signature list that leans sweet and nutty: dirty pistachio, Spanish latte, salted brown butter, tiramisu, banana bread. Matcha gets its own section, hot or iced, in flavours running from vanilla and coconut to strawberry, blueberry and mango. Food is Californian burritos, five of them, built on eggs and potato, chicken caesar, tuna, chicken pesto, or halloumi and chickpeas. There are also avocado toasts on sourdough and cinnamon rolls in five versions, including speculoos and Nutella.
