P’lengke

P'lengke operates as something closer to a community hub than a straightforward restaurant. The karenderya side of the operation turns out a rotating daily menu of Filipino home cooking: arroz caldo, bistek tagalog, dinuguan, caldereta, bulalo, adobo, and a long list of specials that shift by day of the week, including Ilocos empanada on Fridays and Saturdays. The grocery carries over 180 Filipino products, from canned goods and condiments to frozen items and specialty ingredients difficult to find elsewhere in Montreal. A separate catering and events arm handles larger gatherings under the name Lamesa. There's also a small retail section selling Filipiniana goods, cookware, and handicrafts.
