Alpagas du Domaine Poissant

Alpagas du Domaine Poissant started as a family detour that spiralled into a full-scale farm. Beginning in 2012 with a pair of parents staring down three calm, long-lashed animals at the St-Hyacinthe agricultural fair, it's since grown into a herd of more than 200. Natacha and Daniel Poissant didn’t come from farming—far from it—but they learned the paperwork, built the shelters, and figured out how to turn a hillside near Mont-Saint-Hilaire into a working operation. Visitors now follow quiet forest paths with the animals in tow, getting a close-up sense of why the family fell for them in the first place. No theatrics, just a rural escape shaped by a very unexpected obsession.
