Bar le Ber

Bar le Ber operates quietly out of Nagomi, the Japanese restaurant on Île-des-Sœurs, and fills a notable gap in Montreal’s late-night scene. It’s one of the few options on the island where you can settle in for a proper cocktail after 9 p.m.—and without trekking back into town. Open Fridays and Saturdays, the bar blends Japanese influence with a stripped-down approach: house sake, rotating infusions, and minimalist pours served with intent. On certain weekends, the space also hosts sip-and-shop events and music programming, keeping things flexible but tightly curated. It’s not trying to be a destination bar, but for locals in the know, it often ends up being exactly that.
