café capybara

Capybara Café doesn’t have real capybaras—but it doesn’t need them. This downtown Montreal spot is already a plushie-filled fever dream of soft lighting, playful energy, and wildly creative drinks inspired by Korean café culture. Expect foamy Viennese coffees in flavours like pistachio, taro, and matcha, alongside colourful coconut-based lattes and caffeine-free refreshers. Nothing on the menu tops $8, and the textures—whipped bonbon foam, smooth coconut milk, creamy banana—are as much a draw as the flavours themselves. It shares a space with TuTuTu Studio, which only adds to the whimsical vibe. Equal parts hangout and sugar-fuelled serotonin boost, it’s less about minimalism and more about pure, joyful excess.
