Club DD's

Club DD’s is a queer-owned dance bar and performance venue breathing new life into a historic address on St-Laurent Boulevard. Once home to the beloved Blue Dog Motel, the space has been completely reimagined by a crew of musicians, nightlife veterans, and artists—Sarah Fobes, Mindy Stamper, Mint Simon, Laura Lloyd, and Kat Anderson—who gutted and rebuilt the venue in under five weeks. With retro-futurist lighting, pay-what-you-can entry nights, and a programming slate that spans drag, karaoke, DJ sets, and Sunday kikis, Club DD’s is more than a bar—it’s a community hub built for movement and mutual respect. The crowd is multi-generational, the vibe intentionally inclusive, and the energy distinctly Montreal. Upstairs sister bar Bar Champs keeps the party going, with both venues creating what the team jokingly calls “a new gay village.” It’s chaotic, it’s affectionate, and it’s exactly what the Main didn’t know it was missing.
