Pasta Bar

Pasta Bar traces back to Chabanel’s garment district days, when lunch services fed a steady flow of workers quickly and reliably. Since 1989, it has kept that rhythm intact, even if the industry isn't nearly as present as it was before: a weekday-only operation built around hot plates, short waits, and a simple menu of good things. The kitchen runs through a familiar Italian-Canadian repertoire—baked pastas layered with meat sauce and cheese, veal cutlets in different variations, chicken parm, and a rotation of seafood and sides. Portions are structured for practicality, whether eaten on-site or packed up for offices nearby, which explains the parallel catering business that’s grown alongside it.
