Dr. Wahéhshon Shiann Whitebean
Dr. Wahéhshon Shiann Whitebean is a Wolf Clan Kanien’kehá:ka scholar, writer, and oral historian from the community of Kahnawà:ke. She is an Assistant Professor of Indigenous Studies at McGill University, where her award-winning doctoral research explored the intergenerational impacts of Indian Day Schools. Her work is deeply committed to language resurgence, ethical research practices, and community-led education.
