Drinkerie Ste-Cunégonde

A Notre-Dame Ouest fixture since 2011, Drinkerie Ste-Cunégonde takes the old Montreal tavern template and gives it just enough vintage decor, indie rock and electro soundtracks, and an unhurried feel of a neighbourhood local in the middle of Little Burgundy to make it fresh.
The cocktail list keeps one foot in the area, with a St-Henri 75 leading a roster of house creations, most available as mocktails, alongside Quebec craft beers, a serious scotch selection, and wine. The kitchen, run in collaboration with Mauvais Garçons, leans into elevated bar food: buffalo fried chicken sliders, a Caribbean-style beef tartare with jerk aioli, fried pierogis with beer-braised cabbage. Add a terrace that earns its crowd in warm weather and DJs keeping the room moving by night, and it's a winner.
