Cuisine De Manille

Cuisine de Manille, formerly known as Perle de Manille, has been serving Filipino food in Côte-des-Neiges since 2003, making it one of the oldest Filipino restaurants in the city. The family operation was founded by brothers Dado and Ricky Contaoe along with Dado's brother-in-law Paeng Dayo, and a second generation of the family has since taken an active role in running the place.
The menu anchors itself in the kind of generous, festive cooking that Filipino gatherings are built around: lechon prepared every weekend, pork adobo braised in soy, vinegar, and garlic, kare-kare in a rich peanut sauce, crispy lumpiang shanghai, and the halo-halo dessert of shaved ice, evaporated milk, fruit, and purple yam ice cream.
A street food section added more recently brings in kwek-kwek and okoy alongside the classics. The room, renovated into a fast-casual format, has a counter for ordering and a bar where you can eat facing the street. The drink list runs to calamondin juice, mango juice, and coconut water.
