Table 51

The name on the wall reads "Table 51", a reference to the literal seat where co-owner Jimmy Kosmas spent 18 years plotting his next move at the family's Anjou franchise. When brothers Jimmy and George Kosmas and childhood friend Peter Tolias finally opened their own concept in Laval in 2010, they built a menu from scratch: everything made in-house, nothing frozen except the shrimp and the ice cream. The Décarie location followed, occupying the former Portovino space at 5475 Rue des Jockeys and seating 250 across an interior that pays quiet tribute to the Blue Bonnets Raceway next door, with archival photographs and an 1885 area map on the wall. The menu is what the owners call "casual chic North American comfort food": braised beef poutine, lobster tacos, a Gucci burger built from ground filet mignon, and deep-fried Oreos that regulars cite as the main event.
