La Distillerie
La Distillerie has been a beloved institution in Montreal since its inception in May 2005, founded by David Poulin and Philippe Haman. Renowned for its towering mason jar cocktails, the bar offers a dynamic selection of drinks categorized as Powerful, Refreshing, Fruity, and Classic, with a menu that refreshes bi-annually. The original location, La Distillerie du Quartier des Spectacles (D1), paved the way for two more popular spots, on the Plateau Est (D2) and Promenade Masson that have since closed—but the fire’s being kept alive at the (sole remaining) OG location. Known for its unpretentious, pub-like ambiance and quality cocktails, La Distillerie is a community-centric establishment.
