Maison Aïdo is where West African tradition meets French pastry technique—quietly, confidently, and with a lot of heart. Founded by Andrea, a former financial analyst who left it all behind to train in pâtisserie and honour her Togolese and Beninese roots, the café brings something new to Montreal’s café landscape. Expect croissants laced with egusi (pumpkin seeds), cashew cream-filled chouquettes, and a pistachio financier that deserves its own fan club. On the savoury side: street food-inspired sandwiches with grilled tchatchanga beef or spiced mackerel. Drinks range from house hibiscus juice to white chocolate moringa lattes. It’s bright, grounded, and built with purpose—just like the woman behind it.
