Somewhere between a neighbourhood mall and a town square, Marché de l’Ouest is where the West Island does a lot of its shopping and groceries. Located in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, this long-running public market combines fresh produce, specialty shops, and prepared food counters in a format both practical and personal.
Inside, there’s a mix of independent butchers, bakeries, fishmongers, florists, and international food vendors, many of which are family-run and with loyal followings. Outside, seasonal stalls bring in Quebec-grown fruits and vegetables, garden plants, and market flowers when the seasons are just right.
