The Old Port is hosting Grand Minuit again on December 31, 2025, bringing back the free New Year's Eve event that drew nearly 100,000 people last year. Multicolore, which has been producing Montreal's year-end festivities since 2024, is organizing the event at Jacques-Cartier Quay and Place Jacques-Cartier.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with Tupi Collective performing first, followed by Qualité Motel at 9:00 p.m.

At 10:30 p.m., a medley format kicks in with multiple artists cycling through short sets: Patrick Watson, Klô Pelgag, Pierre Kwenders, Sarahmée, Boogát, The Brooks, Anachnid, Naya Ali, Joseph Sarenhes, Shah Frank, and Ya Cétidon all take the stage before midnight.

The countdown happens at midnight with fireworks, then DJs High Klassified and Nana Zen close out the night.

VIP tickets are available starting November 26. The heated VIP section includes private bars, restrooms, and a raised viewing area for the stage.

The event is part of the Old Montreal: History & Magic winter campaign run by the SDC Vieux-Montréal. It's accessible via Champ-de-Mars and Berri-UQAM metro stations—these are the closest stops, both with elevators. The event itself is free, open to all ages, and has accessible restrooms on site.

Last year's turnout suggests this will be one of the bigger New Year's gatherings in the city. The format is straightforward: music starts at 7:30 PM, countdown at midnight, afterparty until late.
